Skip the lines on arrival to Aruba with HappyHealthID.

Easily collect and safely share proof of your Aruba Embarkation and Disembarkation (ED) form and COVID-19 health information with Aruba’s border and customs authorities. Enjoy privacy and control of your personal health information with this new touchless, private, and easy-to-use mobile app.

Any traveler who has (or will have) a COVID-19 health test, taken within the state of New York, is welcome to use the HappyHealthID app.

You are welcome to use the HappyHealthID app for your trip to Aruba if you have met ALL of these requirements:

  • You have received your COVID-19 test in the state of New York, in compliance with Aruba health requirements.
  • You have access to a mobile device with internet access that you will bring with you to Aruba.
  • You have access to a second computer/internet enabled device to complete the pre-travel registration.

If you have met ALL of the above requirements, please go to www.HappyHealthID.com on both your computer (or other internet enabled device) AND your mobile phone.

  • Once downloaded, open the app on your mobile device
  • Tap ‘Register Now‘
  • Agree to the terms and conditions and tap ‘Next’
  • Enter a 6 digit PIN and tap ‘Register’

Open your HappyHealthID app on your mobile device and do the following:

  • Tap the QR code icon on the bottom-middle of the home screen of the app to open your camera.
  • On your mobile device: tap ‘Approve Sharing’ in the pop-up that appears in your app.
  • With the camera open on your mobile device, point your phone to the screen of your computer (other internet enabled device) and tap the camera icon to scan this QR code:

  • You will be prompted with the question,
    “Have you received a Medical Release credential from the Bronx RHIO before?”
    Select an option to continue then tap ‘Accept’.
  • You will then be asked to provide some personal details including your name and date of birth. When all fields are completed, tap ‘Submit’
  • You will then be asked a secret question. When you answer it correctly, you will be able to complete the secure request for your health information.

-Pause-

  • Once you’ve completed the verification process within the HappyHealthID app and taken your COVID-19 test, you will be notified when your medical credential is available via a red notification symbol within the HappyHealthID app.
  • When you receive the notification, tap on the notification icon where the red symbol appears, review the credential information presented, and tap ‘Accept’.

Using your computer, go to the Aruba ED card Webpage and fill out the personal and travel identification information.

  • Answer theCOVID-19 related Health Questions. Under ‘PCR test,’ select ‘Digital Verification’ and choose ‘HappyHealthID’ from the drop down menu.
  • You will then be presented with your unique ED Card QR code.
  • Keep that QR code open on your computer screen and tap on the HappyHealthID App on your mobile device.

On your mobile device complete the following steps:

  • Tap the QR code on the bottom-middle of the home screen of the app to open your camera.
  • Scan the unique ED Card QR code open on your computer screen.
  • You will then be asked: “How would you like to share your health status?” Aruba currently only requires a PCR Test. Please select ‘PCR Test Only’ and hit ‘Accept’.
  • You will then be presented with a request for your lab result. Please tap ‘Accept’
  • You will be notified if your online ED card application has been approved

IF YOUR ED CARD APPLICATION HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED: Please follow guidance from your airline and the government of Aruba and present required paper documentations when prompted by officials.

Check into your flight as you would normally.

Up to 24 hours before departure, you can check in on your desktop computer or airline mobile app.

You can also check in on the day of your travel in person using an Airport kiosk, an Airport Check-In Desk, or at the Airport Curbside.

The HappyHealthID lets you quickly navigate through checkpoints where agents and officials manually check paper documents with an easy, digital proof of the required documentation for the ED card and your COVID-19 health information.

Follow directions to the HappyHealthID checkpoint at customs:

  • Using your mobile device, open your HappyHealthID app.
  • Customs officials will present you with a QR code and ask you to scan it using your HappyHealthID app.
  • On your mobile device, tap the QR code on the bottom-middle of the home screen of the app to open your camera.
  • Tap ‘Approve’ to share your health credential.
  • The customs official will then review your shared credential and inform you of the results.
